Application: This machine is used to test the flammability of pile fabrics and simulated fur fabrics (except floor coverings).
Standards: BS 4569
The sheet of fabric is held vertically in a substantially draught-free enclosure and a flame is moved across the surface of the pile at a known speed to determine whether flame from the igniting source flashed over the surface of the pile.
